I’d never heard of this record store until about 30 minutes ago, which got me to thinking about the first indie record stores I ever visited. And by “indie,” I don’t just mean independently owned but ones that stocked music that went far beyond garden variety mainstream releases. There were some independently owned record stores where I grew up but not “indie” in the way that I think of indie record stores now. My first may well have been Wuxtry and Rockethead in Athens during the mid-90s.
