Justin Currie of Del Amitri is not well.
I’m so sad to post this. Justin Currie, songwriter and lead singer of Del Amitri has been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease. He’s still playing live, but publicly shared the diagnosis recently. He said the progression of his illness will be the deciding factor when he has to stop. His hands are already becoming unreliable, a terrible fate for a musician.
I’ve always loved his lyrics and his voice. Seems a lot of my favourite musical icons are experiencing health issues now. Donald Fagen has had to cancel the U.K. tour for a second year due to unspecified illness.
Lots of atheists get pissed when people ask for prayers, so may I suggest those who love Del Amitri or just music send them kind thoughts.
